Excitement is building at Val Wyatt Marine as our team prepares to return to the Southampton International Boat Show, which runs from the 10th to the 19th of September.
It seems like a lifetime ago since the first UK lockdown in March 2020 – and we have all had to wait patiently for normality to slowly return. Thankfully, over the last few weeks we have seen fans return to football stadiums, as well as the Olympics take place in Tokyo (after a 12-month delay). However, now it is the turn for our sector to rejoice, as “Britain’s biggest festival of boating” returns after last year’s cancellation…and we are planning to make the most of it.
For the duration of the show, our team will be based in the marina at M300, M301 and M303 – from 9am to 6.30pm each day – where we will be showcasing three boats from our industry-leading portfolio.
Haines 36 Sedan: This year’s Southampton International Boat Show will provide a suitable stage for the Haines 36 to make its world debut! Visitors will be able to appreciate just how luxurious the Haines 36 is. Handcrafted in Norfolk, the cabin cruiser is of the highest quality and can comfortably be used as a holiday home or for extended trips. At the beginning of the summer, we wrote an informative blog about the Haines 36, which you can read here, whilst more details are readily available on the Haines section of our website. It is only for these 10 days that visitors can see the boat before it is returned to its owner.
If that wasn’t enough, we are offering the people the chance to meet the builder! Justin Haines, Director of Haines Marine, will be joining our team on the stand from Monday 13th to Wednesday 15th, providing visitors with the perfect opportunity to pick the brains of one the industry’s leading manufacturers.
We will also have two models from the Interboat Intender range on-site – which exude quality and style. The handmade Dutch boats offer an iconic and timeless sloop design, combining style with comfort.
Interboat Intender 700: This boat offers a contemporary transom design that not only looks stylish, but with the watertight door folded fully flat, it incorporates a spacious sundeck.
Interboat Intender 820: People visiting our exhibition area will be able to browse the flagship model of the Intender range. The 820 offers the folding transom of the 700 with even more space and the added advantage of a separate toilet compartment.
We have been exhibiting at the Southampton International Boat Show since the 1980s (then with Freeman, which are still used and loved to this day). We also have set-up in the exact same space in the marina since then, so we cannot wait to get back down to the coast and see you all.
If you’d like to view the Haines 36, Intender 700, and the Intender 820, or would like to speak to us about any other requirements, please book a slot. Get in touch via phone (01189403211) or by email ([email protected]).
