Cabin Cruiser Boats for Sale

A cabin cruiser is a type of power boat that provides sleeping accommodation, essential amenities (often including heating and hot water systems), and inboard or outboard engines designed for low to moderate speeds. This makes this choice of boat perfect for overnight trips on the water, weekend getaways with your family, or extended cruising.

Cabin cruisers usually range from 7 to 14 meters and feature either planing, displacement, or semi-displacement hulls. Therefore, whether you’re looking for a compact boat for solo adventures or something spacious to entertain with family and friends, there’s a cabin cruiser to suit your needs.

What To Look For in Your Luxury Cabin Cruiser

Build and Handling

A cabin cruiser should boast high quality, robust construction and feature a strong, well-built hull, a helm offering strong visibility, and a reliable engine.

Layout and Handling

When choosing a cabin cruiser for rivers and inland waters, a spacious and thoughtfully designed layout is key. Look for clever storage solutions, comfortable seating, and a practical arrangement that makes time on board relaxing and enjoyable. The helm should provide good visibility and be easy to handle, ensuring smooth cruising at low to moderate speeds. Just as important is a reliable, well-maintained engine — essential for hassle-free outings and peace of mind every time you head out.

Interior Comfort

A well-designed interior can transform your time on the water. Comfortable sleeping quarters, a practical galley, and a bright, welcoming saloon make longer stays far more enjoyable. Good headroom, natural light, and ventilation all add to the sense of space, while thoughtful details — from accessible storage to quality finishes — ensure your cabin cruiser feels like a true home from home. For added convenience, many models are equipped with a toilet and shower, features that can make a real difference for overnight trips or extended cruising.

Features

Modern cabin cruisers often include extras like bow thrusters, electric anchor winches, or heating. These additional features can significantly enhance your experience on board.

More typically, our coastal models are offered through our sales office at Chichester Marina, right in the heart of some of the south coast’s most popular boating waters.

If you’re interested in viewing or buying a cabin cruiser, you can visit us seven days a week at Willow Marina and from Tuesday to Saturday at Chichester Marina. Please get in touch with our knowledgeable team to book an appointment. We look forward to welcoming you.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Can I pop in to visit you?

Absolutely! We can get busy, especially on weekends, so if you would like to view a particular boat, we do recommend you book an appointment with us.

What size of boat would suit my needs?

The size of your perfect boat will depend on your intended use, the number of people you plan to have on board, and your storage and comfort needs. Smaller boats are ideal for day trips or inland waters, whereas larger boats are better for offshore cruising and entertaining larger groups of people.

How much does it cost to keep a boat?

As a general rule of thumb, if you take your mooring fee, and double it, that will typically be the average cost for looking after your boat each year. This includes insurance, licences, maintenance, wear and tear repairs, and a fair amount of fuel, assuming you’re sailing on sheltered waterways and not offshore powerboating.

What maintenance should I expect when owning a boat?

Your boat will require regular maintenance to ensure it continues to perform optimally. This will include regular engine checks, cleanings, hull inspections, and upkeep of safety equipment. In the winter months, you may also need to prepare your engine for colder temperatures or cover your boat to protect it from adverse weather.

What kind of safety equipment is required on a boat?

The level of safety equipment you need will depend on whether you are boating in sheltered waters or out in the seas or oceans. As a minimum for coastal boating, it is essential to have life jackets for each person, a fire extinguisher, a whistle or horn, a first aid kit, navigation lights, and an anchor on board your boat.

Do you have moorings available?

Our moorings have been full for the last few years. Our current waiting list is for those who have purchased a new boat through us. However, if you are buying a boat through us, it is worth asking about mooring availability as things can change all the time.

Can you sell my boat?

We will likely be able to sell your boat if it’s in good condition. We will be fully transparent about the asking price of your boat, and we will only encourage you to list with us when we are confident that we can get great value for you.

We specialise in glass-fibre motorboats from £25,000 through to £500,000 and can lift boats up to 42 foot and 14 tonnes. If we cannot help, we’d be more than happy to recommend an alternative broker.
